Iraya is actively looking to fill the position of 5-10 Senior Data Scientists roles.
Senior Data Scientist
Responsibilities of Senior Data Scientist
  • Responsible to ensure data required for analytic models is of required quality and that models are constructed to standards and deployed effectively.
  • Implement data science industry best practices, relevant cutting-edge technology, and innovation in projects to ensure the right solutions fulfill the business requirements.
  • Responsible to develop appropriate technical solutions to address business pain points with insights and recommendations.
  • Implement established analytics strategy by adopting base and key technologies, and technical requirements when executing projects to ensure business value generation.
  • Execute operational excellence through continuous technical improvement initiatives, and process improvement initiatives within projects to improve operations efficiency and effectiveness within own activity & projects

We are looking to fill positions in the following areas:
  • MACHINE LEARNING
    Role: Design analytics solutions for business problems; develop, evaluate, optimize, deploy and maintain models.
    Tech Stack: ML Algorithms, Python, SQL, Spark, Git, Cloud Services MLOps
  • NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING
    Role: Design text analytics solutions for business problems; develop, evaluate, optimize, deploy and maintain text processing and analytics solutions.
    Tech Stack: Python, SQL, Git, NLTK, Deep Learning frameworks, MLOps
  • COMPUTER VISION
    Role: Design Image and video analytics solutions for business problems; develop, evaluate, optimize, deploy and maintain solutions
    Tech Stack: Tensorflow, OpenCV, Fastai, Pytorch, MLFlow, Spark, MLlib Python, SQL, Git, MLOps,
  • OPTIMIZATION/SIMULATION
    Role: Design optimization and/or simulation analytics solutions for business problems; develop, evaluate, optimize, deploy and maintain solutions
    Tech Stack: mathematical/process models, Simulation modelling, AnyLogic, Simio, Binary/Integer/Linear/Mixed programming, Gurobi, Python, MLOps, etc
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or in any other discipline
  • At least 5 years of working experience covering advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and/or optimization.
  • Good in statistical and scripting programming languages (such as R, Python, and MATLAB)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead a team of 5- 10 data scientists, operating as a technical and people lead.
  • Establish a vision and roadmap for the machine learning function in alignment with the company vision. Communicate easily with non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver impact in a fast-paced, data-driven, and high-growth business, bringing innovative ideas using robust analysis, models, and insights
  • Guide the team to solve key business problems and research new machine learning solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members; conduct frequent brainstorming/team sessions, and stay up-to-date with the latest ML developments.
  • Build and deploy advanced supervised and unsupervised machine learning models - e.g. XGBoost/LightGBM, neural networks (auto-encoders, feedforward networks, RNNs/CNNs,language models, etc.), bandit/Bayesian algorithms, time-series modeling, and more.
  • Carry out A/B test experiments and understand the basics of causal inference.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science practice
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a team lead (preferred)
  • Strong background in machine learning and statistics. Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production

    • Proficient in JavaScript (Vue, Node) and HTML and CSS (LESS)
